Sorry I had to go the Children's Doctors and Hospital

is what our oldest son said after having surgery on his elbow. It was dislocated and fractured on Wednesday for no real fault of his own. Many of you have probably heard the story so I won't repeat here. It happened at about 8 in the morning on Wednesday. We went to our little clinic where they x-rayed it, which was not fun. They then sent us up to Castleview Hospital in Price. It was thought that they might be able to set it, but no. We sat there for 2 1/2 hours with nothing. So we told them to let us go and we would be headed up to Primary Children's hospital in Salt Lake, 2 hours away. This is our 4-year old on the way up.
After we got to Primary Children's, we had to get better x-rays and wait for a few more hours while a surgeon was able to do the surgery. We are glad though that we went up there. Luckily, when they got doing the surgery that it was better than it first looked and not as complicated. The nurses and doctor's there were so nice and helpful. So our oldest is now in a soft cast and will get a hard cast next week. He wants blue and can't wait for it and for people to start signing it.

Since we were up there, we decided to go to the Hogle Zoo. It was fun.

Afterward we went home and he slept all the way. It's good to be home after a long day.

Thanks to all that came to see him and help us out, especially Grandma and Grandpa J. who watched out youngest while we were gone.

WHAT!!! You guys are in trouble! We would have totally met you at the zoo. But I am soooo sorry to hear you guys had to go to the hospital. Our son had a soft cast for a month before he got a hard cast. Loved looking at all your posts. You have had a VERY busy couple of months! Congrats on the good stuff!
